Multicultivar extra virgin olive oil

Superior category extra virgin olive oil, cold-pressed, obtained directly from olives and solely by mechanical processes.
The Mediterranean atmosphere, the warmth of an ancient village overlooking a crystalline sea: the Aqua collection is a tribute to our land, to art and tradition.

Harvest: 2023 – 2024

AQUA COLLECTION

The turquoise of the Apulian sea, which characterizes this collection, intertwines with the motif of an ice crystal. In an arid and rain-drenched land like Puglia, ice has always been a precious resource. The little snow that fell in winter was collected and stored in special tanks, later used as an important source of sustenance.
The people of Puglia have always known how to make the most of what nature offered them, such as the extra virgin olive oil produced from centuries-old olive trees.

Organoleptic profile

Lightly fruity, enhanced by vegetal notes of freshly cut green grass, oregano, and fresh almonds. On the palate, it balances lightly intense bitterness and spiciness.

Food pairing

A light and fruity oil, the ideal condiment to enhance any dish without altering or covering its flavors.
Perfect on: boiled potatoes, fresh mozzarella, rice soups, dips, white meats, sauces, fennel soup, risottos, jam tarts, steamed and marinated fish.

Tipologia confezione: Tin bottle

Do you already know everything about our oil?

What is a multivarietal oil?

A multivarietal oil (or “blend”) is obtained by pressing together several olive cultivars, selected for their complementary characteristics: in our case we include varieties such as Olivastro, Cima di Mola, Leccino, Coratina, Picholine, Simona and Nociara.

This approach allows for a more complex and balanced aromatic profile—light fruitiness, with notes of fresh grass and artichoke—and greater consistency of quality in each production.

How is extra virgin olive oil best preserved?

To preserve the organoleptic qualities of our extra virgin olive oil as much as possible, it is important to store it in a cool place (ideally between 14-20°C), away from direct light, away from heat sources, and in a closed container (dark glass or tin) to avoid oxidation and degradation.

Daily use requires that, once opened, the oil be consumed within a reasonable time: the aroma and flavor will be at their best if prolonged exposure to air is avoided, and the oil should be kept in the cellar or pantry rather than on hot shelves or in sunlight.

Why do our bottles have such a unique design?

The design of Frantoio D'Orazio's packaging stems from the desire to combine aesthetics and territorial identity: our lines (such as the "Mediterranea Collection," "Opera Collection," and "Aqua Collection") use motifs inspired by Apulian majolica, Mediterranean art, the sea, and even artists' works, transforming the bottle into a design object as well as a container for the oil.

This aims to enhance Puglia's visual heritage, differentiate the product on the shelf, and make the oil a great gift or collectible, where form and content complement each other.
